Each course is 1-month in duration and equivalent to a 4-credit semester language course.
Level Three courses accept students who have attended the first-level intermediate course (Level Two B1) or students who have been placed in B2 as a result of the placement exam. Also students who have a CELI 2 (the internationally recognized certificate of Italian language proficiency issued by the Università per Stranieri) or an equivalent Italian Language Certificate issued by institutions similar to the Università, have direct access to Level 3 B2.1.
Based on the results of the proficiency test, students will be placed into one of the following courses:
ITAL 301 Advanced Intermediate Italian I – 4 credits
(Università level B2.1)
ITAL 302 Advanced Intermediate Italian II – 4 credits
(Università level B2.2)
ITAL 303 Advanced Intermediate Italian III – 4 credits
(Università level B2.3)
Courses are based on the Common European Framework B2 (advanced-intermediate). All courses are taught entirely in Italian and online with the Università per Stranieri di Perugia supplemented by additional tutorial hours with your assigned ISI Abroad Professor.
Objectives
The objective of the course is to allow you to interact with a native speaker without great difficulty in formal and informal situations and to understand the fundamental ideas of complex texts that address concrete and abstract ideas, technical texts and literary texts. You must be able to write clear articles on several topics and express your opinions on current topics, indicating the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
